Each system is designed with your company name, logo, offering web space, account, Q&S System etc. The payment is not just for the software of e-AF Retriever but the services that come along with it, such as: maintenance, malfunction solution and system upgrading, long-distance assistance etc. The total cost of e-AF Retriever covers not only the system, but also the maintenance of it, and we distributed the charge over 2 years of time, to ensure our service quality and system stability.
Yes. Renewing the contract is not mandatory. However, the web space contains all the information of all your clients, cases, forms, internal reference etc. Without serious maintenance, it will be fatal if any unexpected problem does occur.
This e-AF Retriever is the first real web based management system developed, copying many previous law firm management software that cost a fortune to buy. But since the e-AF Retriever is a web based system every column is intricately connected with others, therefore, the functions that seems no need to you cannot be removed.
We will give all the data and codes back to you when the contract expires, but the system still belongs to DE. What you paid for was a password to enter this system and use the services it provides. We have already applied patent for “e-AF Retriever” both in China and US.
If your firm closes, you can certainly transfer the system to another law firm, without the need to pay additional fees, but DE won’t return any deposit. As for the new firm, we only charge the minimal re-designing and editing fee but no deposit. However, the new firm does need to sign a new two year contract with us.
